Katya Do

Investment Manager @ Buchler Barnett Spencer Capital

Katya is currently a Portfolio and Asset Manager at Buchler Barnett Spencer Capital and focuses on asset-management and principal investment, specializing in residential development, PRS and mixed-use schemes.

Prior to this she was a Senior Analyst at Bruton Realty, a boutique real estate investment advisory and building management firm which has advised on transactions in excess of £1.5 billion of residential and mixed- use assets. Having spent 2 years at the firm, Katya gained valuable transactional experience across the investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and execution to joint ventures and forward funding; and from asset & portfolio management, through to exit and asset disposals.

Katya began her career at a big 4 consulting firm where she worked in Risk Advisory department, advising on Risk Framework for clients in Investment Banking and Insurance. She was a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs in 2008 where she gained exposure to Syndicated Bank Debt market. Her strength lies in her diverse background in consulting, finance and investment banking before moving into property. Her unique experience allows her to have insightful perspectives on property and finance, and real estate investment in a portfolio context.

Having qualified as a CFA Charterholder, Katya possesses in-depth knowledge of portfolio allocation, property/ corporate finance, quantitative methods and private wealth management. She has deep understanding of both direct and indirect investments including equity, fixed income and derivatives and is a strong financial modeller. She graduated from Christ’s College, University of Cambridge in BA. Land Economy and holds a Master’s Degree in Real Estate, Economics and Finance from LSE.

Outside of work Katya likes yoga, playing the piano and is very well travelled.
